Sally J. Clark is a member of the Seattle City Council, appointed to fill the vacant seat formerly occupied by Jim Compton in January 2006. She was elected to a one-year term in November 2006 and a four year term in 2007. Clark chairs the Planning, Land Use, and Neighborhoods committees.[1]

At the time of her appointment, Clark was working for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance. She used to be a legislative aide to former City Councilwoman Tina Podlodowski and current King County Councilmember Bob Ferguson.

Clark was an editor for the Seattle Gay News and has written for The Advocate.[2] She is an open lesbian.[1]
